The Fall and The Fog in High Park

Yesterday, a fog had descended on the city of Toronto. I'd asked my husband to wake me up early in the morning, and accompany me on a photography expedition.

This morning, he woke me up. I was grumpy, but somehow, I got up. We went to High Park, and since we were very sleepy, we forgot our cell phones at home.

I'm not really a photographer - I'm just a person who bought a camera, and is trying to learn how to capture certain moments. I've never been captured by photographic vanity.

Here are the results of the photo session.

It was lovely in the park. There were far more photographers than ducks or swans.

When we came back home two hours later, we realized that our daughter was worried about us, seeing as she couldn't call us on our cell phones to find out where we were. From her point of view, it seemed like we had disappeared from the house in the middle of the night.

  1. Hello Olga,

It's nice to discover your blog and last and really like it. It was great following you on this walk and your photos are wonderful, so romantic and melancholy with the mist and then the touch of colour with the berries. Thanks for taking me with you.

  4. Wow! I just checked out your blog for the first time and I love these photos! I've been living in Brazil for a while, so I've been missing these cold, foggy, fall days.

I decided the picture with all of the colorful leaves and the weaving fence would make the perfect new background to my laptop! Thanks!!

  6. Hello from France!
Thanks for coming by my blog to say "hi". I love your photos! Fall in Toronto looks quite like our Loiret autumn in France.
But I bet you get much more snow.

  7. What a photogenic park. I love the wiggly path and bridge.

It's true that a good camera makes a huge difference. The difference between a photo and a snap.

  9. Hello Dedene!
Welcome to my blog! Thank you for the kind words about my photos. From year to year snow in Toronto is different. Sometimes I wish there would be more snow at Cristmas, but there usually isn't. We get the most snow in January.

    Hi Sarah!
Thank you for your comments. I totally agree about the camera.

    Hi Annelouise!
