I am back from the vacation. Oof !

I am back from the Dominican Republic. It is amazing how, before vacation, you feel old, fat and dull. And after a week under the tropical sun, you start to feel new as a baby. The age doesn't disappear, but some wrinkles are gone. The fat is still here. Who could refuse to eat all the delicious seafood, tempting deserts and drink champagne all day long? But after constant swimming and walking the body doesn't look saggy anymore. All the intense colors, lots of sun and rain, sunsets, sunrises, and walking with my husband under the moon....

In short I took more than 2000 photos and I will select and show the best ones really soon.

  1. Woo Hoo Vacation! I do have to say that I have convinced myself that the tropical Brazilian heat burns off the fat. I tell myself and then go back for my second helping :)

  2. You're right! holidays are good for your health!
And I'm so jealous you went to the Dominican Republic, it must be a wonderful place!!!

  3. Hi Rachel!

    Hi Vikki!
I would love to share my experience with you. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

  4. Sounds wonderful. I spent a year in the Caribbean when I was a student and it was paradise. Just like you said, the heat, the colours, the sudden rainfall - it all certainly makes you feel more alive. I look forward to seeing the rest of your pictures x x

  5. Hi Sarah Elizabeth!
A year in the Caribbean? Wow! You will be surprised but when I was taking photos in the market,I was thinking what kind of shots you would do.
I didn't expect that it would take so much time to sort through all of the photos.

  6. I loved our holiday in the Dominican Republic three years ago - Loved it, thank you for enabling me to see it with its Christmas spirit! Glad you liked my salmon.

I loved the beach, and the cakes! ;)
