Around the Hotel

When we had arrived, the hotel staff were busy getting ready for Christmas. One evening, they turned all the lights on, and we walked among the palms, which were taking the place of Christmas trees. The feeling was absolutely enchanting.

The new hotel; it isn’t open yet.

Some nearby hotels

Please, try not to hate me too much. Especially if you have a sweet tooth.

Our kitchen staff. They liked to goof around from time to time.

These cocktails made us somewhat famous around the hotel. I ordered non-alcoholic ones, since it was kind of early in the day. Besides, I liked to leave room for champagne. When we went up to the bar to order them, people would get a little frustrated. “You can’t order non-alcoholic ones! It’s not allowed! When are you supposed to drink if not on vacation?”

Oops ... kitchen stuff.

To be continued ...

  1. Where do I start, the tree lights look a bit like fairy land. The food, well that just makes me hungry and the scenery is stunning. Stunning. Diane

  2. I'm trying hard not to hate you but I'm finding it tough... (jk).

What a fabulous place and the food just looks amazing. Good to see the chefs too, those guys rock!

  3. Beautiful! I would love to be whisked away to a tropical paradise right now!

  4. Oh my goodness... Such amazing photos.
I can't hate you, simply because I find it hard to believe these places really exist! Isn't it on the set of the next Jennifer Aniston's flick?

  5. I have just read your two holiday posts and am lost for words, you have been to a beautiful place, thanks for sharing your photos :)

  6. Hi Diane!
Thank you for your comment. Why can't we eat this kind of food every day :)Plus champagne, of course.

    Hi Sarah!
The food was just right. Diverse, honest and with pleasant texture.

    Hi Sara Louise!
Thank you. You are absolutely right. It was beautiful.

    Hi Galit!
Thank you for visiting my blog. Before this vacation, when I was looking at the beautiful photos on the Internet, I thought "Is that really possible?"

    Hi Lindy!
Thank you for commenting. In my thoughts I am still there.

  7. Well I love that buffet and good on you for ordering the non-alcoholic cocktails which still look delicious. I love the way you capture the feel of the place; the sand, the wind blowing in the palms. What a fantastic holiday and how nice to share it with you.

  8. Hi Vanessa!
I really appreciate your comments. The wind blowing in the palms created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I'm glad I was able to capture it well enough to share it with you.
