An orange mood (with a few other shades around)

I think that the colour orange can easily improve your mood. I like to choose topics for my walks and photography sessions. Last Saturday, orange was one of them. Maybe I was just lucky, or maybe orange is one of the most popular colours this season. One walk was pretty much enough to compile this selection of photos - plus a couple of things I photographed at home.

It was really fun and exciting. Next time, I might pick a more rare, challenging colour.

This dog sculpture was made by me. The balloon was very jittery because of the wind. I'm glad I caught it looking calm for a moment.

You might be surprised that these two men are included in my orange series. Please note the orange feather in the hat, which really charmed me. I could hear them arguing about movies as I walked down the street. A few times, I could hear the words "Clark Gable, Clark Gable" echoing.

A sad little lonely mitten.

I walk by this house almost every day. Only on my orange day did I notice the orange bedspread.

I hope you enjoyed my orange photos.

I would like to thank my followers and the people who comment on my blog. Your encouragement feeds my creative impulse.

I will take a break from blogging for a week. If everything goes well, I hope to entertain you with new posts soon.

Have a wonderful week!

  10. Olga, you are fun! You obviously put a lot of work into your "orange series" -- great job. And by the way, I would have spotted the orange feather in his hat! (And I see the orange stripe in the lost mitten, too.) Ha. Oh, that amber bracelet is fantastic.

OK, you earned your "week off" now. Good stuff.
    xo,

  20. Mainio *Orassi-Teema*...
Ei ainoastaan värien puolesta - muidenkin värien kuin oranssi - ja siihen 'sointuvat' värit - vaan se 'kuva-alalle-asettelu' - sommittelu - compositiot - aivan mitä sanaa halutaan käyttää - on jokaisessa kuvassa tarkoin harkittua...!

  26. These photos are positively beautiful. You have a way with photography that just captures every emotion intended (or accidental). It's amazing. And I never realized that orange DOES improve one's mood! These photos made me calmer, which is surprising since I've had such a stressful day.

    Enjoy your break. :)

  36. Olga:

Bold bright and very beautiful. Orange is not one of my favorite colors, never seem to use it much in decor, clothing, accessories, or painting. And YET, it is warm inviting friendly, and I adore it in flowers, fruit, animals (especially felines-tigers & kitty cats) & pretty feathered birds. Your photo's are spectacular.
