Speaking of Politics

Some of my readers have asked my opinion on the subject of what's going on in Russia.

As you might have noticed, I usually don't touch on political topics, for the simple reasons that I'm not very good at it. I think people ought to be public only on the subjects that they are good at.

If you have smiled while reading my posts and thought about something pleasant, I feel that the mission of this blog is accomplished.

In order to answer this question after all, I will end this post with the following picture.

  2. Ha! Ha! Ha! Good one, Olga, and I agree with the sign! As for discussing politics on your blog, I tend to agree with you. There are blogs out there specializing in politics because that's what their authors know and/or enjoy. I am happy to let them handle that side of the business ;-) I am in favor of doing like you today, though: Throwing an idea out there and see how people react... ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  7. Hello Olga:
What a very splendid, and hugely apposite, image which we thought to be great fun.

We are certain that you would be well versed in the politics of Russia but, as you say, it is so much nicer to read a post for the pleasure which it gives and which yours never fail so to do.

  8. Nice one, Olga. You are wise to stay off thorny topics like politics when your blog is not about such subjects.

I, for one, always smile when I read your blog posts whether from the text or your lovely photos.

  10. Brilliant!
Whoever came up with that is to be applauded. Thank you for posting it.

Although I am sure that we all have an opinion on politics, it's best to keep it to oneself in a general blog. There are plenty of political blogs about.

  14. Lol Who knows what's going on in Russia.
There is no news in isvestia and no truth in pravda as they say .lol

And our info here is also over saturated so people don't know either what's going on.
Our news has two topics a day and just keeps repeating them all day.
