Speaking of Politics

Some of my readers have asked my opinion on the subject of what's going on in Russia.

As you might have noticed, I usually don't touch on political topics, for the simple reasons that I'm not very good at it. I think people ought to be public only on the subjects that they are good at.

If you have smiled while reading my posts and thought about something pleasant, I feel that the mission of this blog is accomplished.

In order to answer this question after all, I will end this post with the following picture.

(The image isn't mine)

  1. Ha ha, very telling photo. Thanks Olga!

  2. Ha! Ha! Ha! Good one, Olga, and I agree with the sign! As for discussing politics on your blog, I tend to agree with you. There are blogs out there specializing in politics because that's what their authors know and/or enjoy. I am happy to let them handle that side of the business ;-) I am in favor of doing like you today, though: Throwing an idea out there and see how people react... ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  3. nicely done. you are wise beyond your years!

  4. Brilliant....brightened my breakfast.

  5. Hello, Olga.

Lovely your works, full of JOY!

      Thank you World-wide LOVE.
      and, your Support.

      The prayer for all peace.
I wish You all the best.

    Have a good weekend.

  7. Hello Olga:
What a very splendid, and hugely apposite, image which we thought to be great fun.

We are certain that you would be well versed in the politics of Russia but, as you say, it is so much nicer to read a post for the pleasure which it gives and which yours never fail so to do.

  8. Nice one, Olga. You are wise to stay off thorny topics like politics when your blog is not about such subjects.

I, for one, always smile when I read your blog posts whether from the text or your lovely photos.

  9. Olga I just love that, great picture. I agree with you though it is best to stay off of politics, you can never please everyone!! Diane

  10. Brilliant!
Whoever came up with that is to be applauded. Thank you for posting it.

Although I am sure that we all have an opinion on politics, it's best to keep it to oneself in a general blog. There are plenty of political blogs about.

  11. I agree, I think it is best to be careful what one says online!

  12. haha Isn't that the truth! Well put Olga. =)

  13. I love the photo, yes politics can be very messy!!!

  14. Lol Who knows what's going on in Russia.
There is no news in isvestia and no truth in pravda as they say .lol

And our info here is also over saturated so people don't know either what's going on.
Our news has two topics a day and just keeps repeating them all day.

  15. Hello, great pleasure to go through your beautiful space, I wanted to greet you this holiday season, so you can understand the reading I have a translator on my blog Brisa poetic
    Happy Holidays!
    a hug.

  16. You´re absolutely right and I do plan to get one of those, as soon as I know what I want. :-)

  17. Dear all,
Thank you for your understanding. I apologize for not responding to each of you. I`m also sorry that I`m lagging behind in visiting your blogs. I hope that, during the holidays, I`ll have the time to relax and enjoy the blogosphere!
Thank you, also, to everyone who just reads my blog.

  18. Change? Eradicate would be the word!

  19. Hello Olga,
your blog is a must see,
    I'm your fan!
    Best wishes and happy Christmas

  20. So very funny and so true! I too try not to get involved in politics as I'm not much good at them :-)

  21. Haha Olga that is brilliant, I love it! I was thinking of you with the news coming out of Russia, but I agree 200%. I never mention politics on my own blog...I want it to be a happy place...and would rather think of cats than the state of the Euro :)

  22. Your sign put a smile on both mine and the hubby's faces!!
