Recently, on one of my walks in the park with my husband and the camera, I noticed a big, beautiful bird that I decided to observe. What unfolded can be seen below.
UUUUUUf!!!!Fortunately! they run away!!! Beautiful bird but dangerous for the little animals!!! Congratulations for the perfect photographs!!!Kisses from Greece.
Thank goodness, Olga. Glad the little critters made a dive for it! I really thought they were doomed, you know, and I expected you to switch to black and white in the last pics so we would not see blood, or anything... Phewww... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
aren't those chipmunks cute? We caught a falcon once which seemed to be shot and had a paralised claw.We couldn;t open it. It was thanks giving and we were out collecting mushrooms when we found it and brought it home. It ate a whole raw turkey got its strength back, said thank you and flew away lol What a gorgeous bird he was though.
We do also have many squirrels here! and guess what? They hide their winter provisions like nuts or peanuts inside my pots:-) Isn´t that funny? Lovely walk you made!!!
What a great action sequence! I once had a hawk try to take my little dog off when I was in the yard with him - I had to get in front of the hawk and protect little Socks!
Omg my heart almost stopped, I thought that poor little chipmunk was a goner. He survived, right?!
These photos (while beautiful and spectacular) bring back painful memories. Four years ago, my rabbit Chuyia was grazing in my backyard when a hawk came and attacked her. I still have nightmares. She died. :(
Wow, very great shoots! These photos are so beautiful, you've catched good moment! Take a look at my blog, and if you like it, follow me, I'll be waiting for you!
Nature can be cruel,so pleased the little squirrels? chipmunks? escaped the hawk, they live to enjoy another day. Great photos dear Olga and a happy ending, the hawk can find a snake instead. :) xoxoxo ♡
Hi Φανή Παπαγεωργίου, Ζωγράφος, Such stories happen in our park constantly. I always regret the times when I don't bring the camera.
Hi Jenny, This time, I came across a very trusting chipmunk. I am surprised that he wasn't captured by such a bird.
Hi Veronique, This time, everything went well for chipmunks. But believe me, things don't always turn out that way, and, occasionally, there is evidence.
Hi Antonio, We have a very eventful life in High Park, both with the people and the animals :)
Hi A Lady's Life, What a story! To be honest, I don't know what I'd do in such a situation. I am terrified of big birds. I only approach them using the zoom on the camera.
Hi alp, Muchas gracias por su visita. Le agradezco su felicitación.
Hi R. Jacob, I have come to the conclusion that, whenever you come to High Park, something interesting will definitely be happening there.
Hi Fabrizia, Thank you for your visit. I really appreciate your comment. I will visit you soon :)
Hi Dianne, Nature - cute and cruel at the same time, which is really like life in general. We have many chipmunks, and many hawks as well. I guess it's harmony.
Hi Laura.M, I'm glad you enjoyed my little report of the everyday life in High Park.
Hi floweringmama, To be honest, I wouldn't have the heart to demonstrate something on my blog that did not end well.

Hi Adrian,
ReplyDeleteIn our park, there are enough predators and prey. I'm glad you enjoyed this sequence of events.
Hi Sandy,
These little tapas were in a bit of danger. Thank you for your visit.
Hi Eko,
Haukka kellot todellakin. On monia heistä puistossa, ja he metsästävät säännöllisesti pikku lintuja ja eläimiä.
Hi tinajo,
The chipmunks in our park are not afraid of anything. One of them jumped on my skirt when he saw I was holding a nut.
Hi Colores,
On my balcony, squirrels have buries many treats in my flower pots. I am still finding them.
Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a hawk. Nowadays, there is a migration passing through the park. There are a lot of birds. Poor chipmunks need to be alert.
Hi Marty,
Thank you. European squirrels are prettier :)
Hi Marisa,
Thank you. I wish a had a better zoom to take photos of little chipmunks.
Hi lilylovekin,
Our park is a real forest - it has the same processes as a forest does.
Hi Sergio,
Thank you - they really are!
Hi Gillian,
ReplyDeleteI really don't know about types of birds. My background is from big cities :)
Hi Nat,
I'm sure that the hawk wouldn't be hungry for long. Lots of delicious food in High Park for him! :)
Hi Al,
I have seen one hawk capture a smaller bird...of course, I was terrified.
Hi Wong,
Indeed, it ended well for chipmunks that time, but not for long :(
Hi Jennifer Fabulous,
What a terrifying story. Poor rabbit! I have also seen one of the hawks' feast...it was horrible.
Hi Pierre,
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for visiting!
