Between blue and green
I really like the shades between blue and green. In the summer, they stir the imagination and remind one of wonderful Caribbean vacations. I think about those quite often, because, over the last little while, I've had to repair quite a lot of things in my house, and completely change even more. The renovations continue, and the Caribbean, at the moment, is something to dream of.
Oh, the Caribbean, I anticipate our next meeting, and I'm sure you are too!
Despite all that, some of these photos have been taken in Toronto. Some even today.
I didn't stylize this photo at all. There are some moments in life when you just see the beauty in very simple things. When my daughter pours herself some tea, arranges a few pieces of cake on a platter, and tells me "I'm emulating you right now," I'm smiling.
However, when you want to take a photo, sometimes real life happens.
Nothing can happen in this house without Deniska's inspection.

Cool title and beautiful point of views !
ReplyDeleteThat beautiful bowl of bing cherries!
ReplyDeleteI want some.
Thanks for shooting, thanks for showing.
Hello Olga:
ReplyDeleteWe are in awe of this post, not simply because of the excellence of the images but more so for the exceedingly clever and imaginative way in which they are linked one with another through the use of the same blue-green which becomes a recurring theme. And to have all been taken close to home is additionally wonderful.
Belle série bleue...
ReplyDeleteExcellente journée,
Pierre
В этом году бирюзовый в фаворе!
ReplyDelete(А котик-то как себя хорошо в саду чувствует, хозяин!)
this color is the essence of summer and the pictures with the cat are just awesome:)

You must have be a great time there.
Greetings, Marco
Bellissimo post, con i colori che si rincorrono dal mare, alla staccionata, alla maglietta etc....bella idea!
ReplyDeleteAdoro questo mare e questo colore di mare! Toronto deve essere davvero un bel posto!
ciao Cri : )
I'm glad Deniska gave the bowl of cherries his seal of approval. The colour must have helped. That turquoise is lovely. I saw rivers of the same shade in Austria a couple of weeks ago. Marvellous they were too.
ReplyDeleteHi Olga, the colour you are portraying - turquoise - has an unpleasant memory for me. My mum used to feed me a turquoise colour food named 'bubble and squeak' and I hated it!
ReplyDeleteHello Olga. For days it did not come to your blog, but never forget you friend ... the summer is slow and lazy :)) Rich cherry!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue ... is my favorite. That light has prettier pictures.
a kiss.
Such great colors in these pics - my favourite ones! :-)
ReplyDeleteI call that colour turquoise. I read a book which dealt a lot with the way we perceive and understand colour and many people would consider it either to be blue or to be green. We actually have rather imprecise words for describing colour. I love turquoise with either blue or green of a different shade.
ReplyDeleteThose cherries looked amazing, but that's just my greedy nature :)
Beautiful post illustrated with my favourite blue-green colours. Thanks to you, Olga, I have been reading Johannes Itten's theories on colour, and I am pleased to see you return to the theme of colour.
ReplyDeleteOf course, any post in which Deniska makes an appearance makes it perfect.
Hi,Olga.
ReplyDeleteI read your beautiful post in the sweltering weather here in Japan. Your summer makes me feel cool and reminds me of my favorite music CARIBBEAN BLUE by Enya.
Enjoy your summer!

Your photos are so gorgeous, Olga! It's always a pleasure to visit!
ReplyDeleteOlga dear your photos are beautiful, the many shades between blue and green are always lovely and fresh.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos with Deniska, such a handsome cat and the yellow flowers there are very pretty also...are they rudbeckia?
xoxoxo ♡
Your are an extraordinarily artistic person. I do like more your Caribbean Toronto that the real thing so to speak :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite colours too, beautiful pictures, and I laughed at the cat having to inspect (every job needs a supervisor).
ReplyDeleteA really well thought through series of ages...each one blends with the next so well..!
ReplyDelete-Trevor
It looks relaxing! :)
ReplyDeleteOh how I would love to visit the Caribbean, not much chance of it happening though! What a beautiful post with the use of colour. I particularly like the last two pics with Deniska. Have a great weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Olga, I am discovering your blog. Nice one. Nice pictures capturing a particular colour. I love turquoise too!
ReplyDeleteThese blue-green colors do remind us of warm climates. You can see these colors in Florida too, or even in Tunisia, North Africa. The Caribbean right now is being battered by strong storms – it is the place to go in the fall or winter. Your cherries with the cat picture is so sweet, and the cherries look yummy.
ReplyDeleteI like this color too. I would not mind a stroll along a Caribbean beach right about now...
ReplyDeleteHello, Olga. I really like it when you drop by. I am enjoying the photos on this post and I'm secretly jealous that you're leaving for the Carribean.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, the most photographic moments happen when you don't have your camera too.
What a gorgeous series of photos as always Olga. You may not get to travel to the Caribbean at the moment but at least you can enjoy virtual travel thanks to the internet. :)
ReplyDeletePhotos to dream by ... the colours are so exciting and evocative!
ReplyDeleteПотрясающие фото!!!

ReplyDeleteTurquoise is my favorite color! How beautifully you collected sometning blue-green. I remember olden days in Japan, both colors of blue and green were called blue.
ReplyDeleteAll photos are so beautiful and have fragrance!
