The Colours of the Walls

The latest news: today, we have received the keys to our house. Tomorrow is our grand move. If only our movers would arrive on time, because we've been warned by our friends that they are notorious for showing up late, if at all.

Today, we took some fragile objects to the house. As promised several months ago, here are the colours of the walls in some of the rooms. I hope you understand that, with my latest obsession with white walls, I will be busy for quite some time :)

It's not difficult to guess what kind of person occupied the room in the next photo - and who forgot the yellow truck in the photo after the next. I hope he'll come back for it :)

And this for dessert. Now I also have a living room with red walls :P

Shocking - the colour of the walls in the master bedroom:

Despite the fact that, at the Santa Claus parade, I also yelled "Debbie, Debbie!", I blame her for all the colours in my new house. Canadians will know what I'm talking about :)

Seeing as I'm trying to convince my husband not to hire anybody, and to do the renovations ourselves, he is convinced that I am overestimating my power. My point of view is - let's live more dangerously!

  4. I am all for neutral colours on walls, so if it was my house I would be very busy with the paint brush.
I hope those movers turn up on time and do enjoy your new home and unpacking all of your treasures, don't forget your beautiful cat. ^^

  7. Good luck with the move, I hope the movers arrive on time, don't forget anything and don't break anything.

If you want white walls you'll be at it a while, I fear, that vivid paint will take some covering.

  8. I love white walls. Our walls also need a new coat of white...they are looking grey. A few months ago - I helped my brother paint his walls...I have a newfound respect for painters...it's a lot of work! =) How exciting on your new place!

  10. I hate dark colours in rooms it always makes them look so small. Wish I was closer to come and help you paint. Keep well Diane

  11. So glad you are now able to get into your home. I'm no fortune teller, but if you have a thing for white walls, I see a lot of primer in your future. The current walls are certainly colorful.

  13. Good luck with the move. :) I hope it goes smoothly and without a hitch! I love the colors of these walls. I grew up in a household where we were not allowed to paint the walls. Stuck with white. And now I live in an apartment where I'm not allowed to paint the walls. It's very sad. I can't wait until I own my own house and I can paint the walls whatever I want!! :D

  20. Ах, Оля, у вас только все начинается?! Но ключи от дома уже в вашем кармане и это так радостно. Я думаю, что вы как художник, сделаете свой новый дом уютным. Оля, а что у канадцев означает "Дебби, Дебби!"?

  25. Olga I hope by now you are settled in. I am finally catching up on my friends' blogs after spending January moving home myself! My goodness, how dreary those walls are. Lovely colours....but not for the sort of happy home I picture you, your family & Dear Deniska living in! There is so much to do in my own new home, but I tell myself I will be here for a very long time, and one day it will all get done. For now, it is best to concentrate on college :)
