Once Upon a Time
Quite a few events have taken place over the course of this first month of the new year. A little too many for my taste. I prefer a gentler flow of time. I like to be able to observe the rays of the sun as they glide across my tablecloth. One such ray stumbles upon a teacup or a tangerine. It freezes for a moment. Then it jumps over the object, and continues on its way. With all the concerns that I have had to settle in the last little while, I haven't even been able to find a moment to visit High Park. And that should tell you a lot. My stress levels are pretty high at the moment.
Many thanks to all those who are leaving me comments and visiting my blog. I promise that, after a bit of time, I will answer all of your questions. And, of course, I will recall our move from Moscow to Toronto, once upon a time.
Happy New Year to all those who celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Hello Olga:
ReplyDeleteWishing you time to gaze on the tangerines and time to take a leisurely stroll in High Park.....!!!
I know the feeling well having just moved from the UK to France. It amazes me just how many things come as extras when you do not really need them! Take care and try to relax. We will still be here when you have time. Diane

ReplyDeleteRelax, Olga, and go easy on yourself! Moving process is stressful, but eventually you’ll be satisfied. Our tangerine season is going to end slowly.

Olga,
ReplyDeleteHow about taking a cup of tea, when you feel stressful? It is a kind of “喫茶去-kissako” in Buddhism. Relax, relax.
Moving is also exciting, isn’t it?? It gives me a good chance to do a big clean-up as I am a person who keeps things both necessary and unnecessary.
It is so soothing to observe the rays of the sun moving. I love this.

A hug
A lovely image.
ReplyDeleteAh, this photo smells with New Year.. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo to cheer me up Olga. It seems like we are going through the same thing...too many things happening at once. I think by being in the midst of moving home it all seems much worse, because your home life has been turned upside down! I am hoping February will calm down to a slower pace as, like you, I prefer life that way. X
