Stripes

The theory that a black stripe in life is followed by a white stripe is very calming. I think that not everything is so certain, and that stripes can be multi-coloured. What do you think?

The following photos are from Paris, Moscow, Kiev, and Toronto.

  1. Creative post, wonderfully illustrated with your pictures of street scenes. I recognized les Colonnes de Buren near le Palais Royal in Paris... Stripes, whether one or two-toned, are reassuring to a lot of people, in their predictability. I agree with you, though, life can't always be foreseen with such certainty... 3. My favourite stripes are those on Breton shirts, like the girl with the masses of hair is wearing. Very stylish, they are.

  15. I too wear some tie with stripes, but not shirts or anything else. They have to be plain. It's like if stripes take too much visual effort, at least in clothes. Or most likely that I am evolving in some sort of a maniac :-)

  17. A very good theme here Olga. By the way, I am catching up on all your posts that I have missed in the last 2 months due to the college workload. I tried to comment on the last two I read, but for some reason blogger keeps crashing on me :(
