This Weekend
I know that the photos that I have put here don't exactly match and in fact appear to have nothing to do with each other, but they really do reflect my weekend.
I have to say that having a house is like a roller coaster ride every day. I won't list all the details; instead, I will present you with one particular scenario. One day, I noticed that our cat was sitting next to his food bowl with a dumbfounded expression. Usually, his face looks serious and philosophical, so, it was quite a contrast. I decided to investigate the situation, and discovered that his bowl was full of ants. The two of us just stood there for a few minutes, staring at the uninvited guests.
And that's not even the half of it.
I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend. Our Orthodox Easter will take place next weekend, and I'm looking forward to it.

Our Easter is next week also
ReplyDeleteWe celebrate both.lol
The pictures make sense because this is what your life is and so this is what you talk about and kitty is beautiful. Who said animals don't understand?
Lovely shots, Olga. From the looks of it, there was much variety during your weekend (including an ant-chasing session! ;-) I love those two photos where you "staged" the food. It looks delicious! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteпросто чудесно!
ReplyDeleteВсе, что люблю - ленивое утро, изящный завиток, тени на травае, сонное котэ.
Спасибо за искусство!
Enjoy your day !
ReplyDeleteBest regards from France,
Pierre

Ants in the food - I can imagine he was puzzled..! :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos from your life Olga dear. You will have to get kitty a food bowl with a small water rim around the edge, it keeps the ants away.

So the cat had extra vitamins!! Poor thing! I love their expressions when all is not as it should be.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs echoing what seems like an idyllic weekend.
I like the reflections of light on the water, but I love the tree trunk and the branches.
ReplyDeletelove your shots...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, the first one of your cat is wonderful. Uninvited guests eating his food, how rude!
ReplyDeleteNice shots, as always! Have a wonderful Easter!

Hello Olga:
ReplyDeleteWe can well imagine the ups and downs of your new life in your new home. It must feel as if one day progress is made whilst on another day more problems reveal themselves. Nevertheless, you are making your home uniquely yours and we are sure, ants and all, that one day you will be able just to sit back and enjoy!!!
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter!!
Thankyou for your Easter blessings Olga and for another lovely selection of photos.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the cat! Always stunning photos! Envious! I bought myself a new CANON 600 and am learning everyday, but love it! My new baby :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, poor Deniska. I can just imagine the expression as he looked up at you, dumbfounded as you say.
ReplyDeleteI am giggling at this story, though I am sorry you have ants in your house of course.
He is such a handsome fellow, even when he yawns :)
Poor cat! It's a great shot of the lovely feline, as is the one of the roses and honey with the play of sunlight.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos as always!!!I wish you a happy Easter Olga!!!Kisses from Greece.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks lovely! But the ants - hm! no wonder the cat didn't know what to do! Enjoy Orthodox Easter when it comes!
ReplyDeleteI had to come back to read about Deniska and the ants again! Taking a quick break from a Twiggy drawing I am doing, and it makes me think of you because I know you admire her too :) It is for a project on illustrating a magazine article. I hope you are well X
ReplyDeleteYour photos are very nice. Hope that you had an Happy Easter along with your familie and friends
ReplyDeleteEverything that you feature is nice. Coffee and orange look nice together, I wonder about how you mixed them tough! :-)
ReplyDeleteTenants had strangers at home :))
ReplyDeleteHave a good Easter
a kiss.
No wonder your cat looked dumfounded. Are there ants already? In my place, I see them from late spring to early autumn. In spite of the ups and downs you’ve experienced, still you enjoy taking pictures and look struggling happily to make the new house your home, the home which shows your personality. Isn’t it so nice, Olga? I especially like the first and the third photo. Happy Easter to you!
ReplyDeleteYoko
When are you inviting us over? It looks so cozy! I wouldn't mind sharing some coffee with a slice of orange. =) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi,Olga!

ReplyDeleteRegards
With my newfound freedom I can at last catch up properly with you, starting with Deniska and his ants! I do hope they have been dealt with and he does not have to deal with the situation anymore :) I so love his picture at the top! Please scratch his chin for me and tell him his admirer in Ireland says meow-hello :)
